Freshman Year - Chapter 105
“Hey guys! You having a bit of a campout out here?” said Sreeleela as the two reached the campsite.
She looked stunning in her two piece fluro pink bikini. Her long brown hair was done up into a bun today.
“Yeah we are except we forgot the matches so we haven’t been able to get it going yet,” Matt replied.
Luckily for them, Travis was about to save them a trip down to the shops. He pulled out a lighter he had in his pocket of his shorts. “Good thing I’m a smoker.”
Travis kneeled down next to Mark and helped him light the fire with his lighter.
“You are a lifesaver Trav!”
“Yeah Travis, can’t thank you enough.”
Mark politely smiled, a little awkward about the whole thing. He wondered whether Travis knew that he had a big thing for Sreeleela.
The girls came in from the ocean as Travis put a few more logs on the fire and tried to get it going. They too thanked him for being the hero and saving the night. As he was leaving with Sreeleela, they were stopped by Adah asking if they wanted to stay for a few drinks.
Sreeleela was interested, she nodded and looked up at Travis to check his reaction. He probably didn’t want to stay here but to his credit, he smiled and nodded his head. “Yeah we’ll stay,” smiled Sreeleela.

“Is this all the wood you’ve got for tonight?” asked Travis, checking out the pile they had put to the side.
They all nodded, not expecting they would need anymore.
“That’s only going to last you an hour, we’re going to need a lot more. Maybe we could split up. You girls can stay by the fire, two of us guys can go back north where me and Tiff just came from, there’s a stack of broken branches and wood up there. Then two of us can go down south and see what we can find,” he explained.
He knew what he was talking about so the boys all followed his lead as the girls stayed by the fire. Mark and Travis went together, going North while Matt and Ethan went the other direction.
Mark wasn’t going to lie, he was a little nervous. He didn’t get along well with most football players from the team, they never showed him much respect. It was a quiet walk up the beach at first with neither one of them making much conversation.
Travis finally broke the ice when they started collecting the logs and branches that were spread out over the beach. “So Sreeleela‘s told me a lot about you.”
“Oh really?” Mark said surprised, “What has she said,”
“She says you’re one of the nicest guys freshman boys she’s met. Polite, respectable, a great friend.”
He couldn’t help but grin hearing the way she talked about him. Mark was so infatuated with Sreeleela, knowing that she had plenty of love and respect for him too was music to his ears.
“I can tell it too, you seem like a good smart kid,” he continued.

The compliment from Travis himself was something he didn’t expect. “That’s kind of you, I appreciate that.”
The two boys started to chat a little more as they made their way back up the beach with a lot more wood. For all the stereotype asshole jocks that Mark had come across over the years, Travis didn’t seem to fall in that category.
It was understandable why Sreeleela liked him so much. He previously thought that she was just another college girl being blinded by fake kindness and some big muscles. Travis however seem to be the full package, conveniently just like Sreeleela.
It was actually a little hard for Mark to take that it. A moment of realihsation that there was a good chance they could be together for the long run. Which meant Mark would be out of the picture forever.
They made it back to the campfire just before Matt and Ethan did, they’d be all sorted for wood for the rest of the night.
